Flood House welcome pack

A welcome pack is provided which includes local Dorset tea, samples from the local Palmers Brewery down the road, and local Dorset biscuits. You don’t even have to worry about taking washing up liquid as it’s all provided for you.

The owners really have thought about everything in the cottage. There’s even a dog welcome pack, as this is one of the dog friendly cottages in Dorset. Dog treats, waste bags and a dog towel are waiting for your furry friend.

Fresh flowers were provided in the lounge, which is an extra touch that really makes guests remember those little luxuries.

Flood House lounge area

The house is heated with gas central heating, and there’s also a feature gas fire in the lounge. We found the kitchen was always warm due to the Aga, and sometimes the lounge became cold. No-one was cold during the night at all and we visited during the Spring months.

Everything in the house was spotlessly clean, and cleaning materials were provided should you need anything.

Flood House Bridport Garden Facilities

The garden and outside area of Flood House is also as impressive as the inside. As well as the large seating area, barbecue and fire pit, there’s also the biggest feature of the hot tub.

Enjoying the hot tub with a glass of wine is also very easy as the hosts have provided great quality plastic drinking vessels and picnic wear for outside use.

A Summer house has garden games and sun loungers for your use during your stay as well. The garden is split over two levels, with the top being laid to grass. There is a picnic bench and plenty of grass to enjoy or play in.

In West Bay you can enjoy walks along the harbour, or perhaps go crabbing. There are the beaches to explore and lots of pubs, restaurants and tea rooms. Why not climb the hill at West Bay, part of the Jurassic Coast.

Bridport is a market town and also has plenty going on. Take a wander through the high street and stop in Bucky Doo Square where you might even spot some entertainment.
