- Mermond Place (recreation ground) (BH19 1DQ) and Central CO OP (BH19 1HP) short stay car parks have free parking for cars between 7pm and 8am overnight.
- The same two car parks offer free parking between 8am – 10am for early shopping.
- Main Beach car park (BH19 1AP) has two hours free parking on Market day between 8am and 10am.
- North Beach car park has free parking between 1st November and 31st March each year.

There is one park and ride location in Swanage, located at Norden (BH20 5DW). This park and ride is open all year round with varying times depending on the season. The park and ride is also in a perfect place to board the Swanage Railway., and has lots of facilities including a children’s play area and toilets.
