Are you looking for things to do on Bonfire night in Dorset this year? Bonfire night is on Wednesday 5th November in 2025, falling just after October half term. Across the county there are some great fireworks displays and events scheduled to go ahead.

We are including bonfire night events for both Saturday 1st – Wednesday 5th November in this post.

Littledown Fireworks

Chaseside, BH7 7DX

Date: 4th November 2023

Gates open from 5.30 with a giant funfair. There are 3 firework displays included in the price with a great indoor arena featuring live displays and kids disco.

Littledown fireworks display times are 7pm, 8pm and 9pm. The 7pm display is perfect for families and the quietest of the evening firework displays. The 8pm display is the busiest that will also include something a little extra special.

The 9pm white knuckle firework display at Littledown Centre in Bournemouth is full of colour and noise.

Lyme Regis Bonfire Night And Fireworks

Date: 1st November 2025

Watch the fireworks as they light up the sky over the harbour and warm yourself by the huge bonfire on the beach.

The Cobb provides a fantastic backdrop for the stunning display with Lister and Langmoor gardens offering a wonderful vantage point to view the explosive night of fireworks.

Firework Night On Poole Quay

Poole, Dorset, BH15 1BW

Date: 5th November 2025

Starting from 5pm on one of the biggest nights of the year. There will be live music, family entertainment and activities, and the big firework finale at 8pm.

The Quay car parks will get very busy, but there is alternative parking at the Dolphin Shopping Centre a ten minute or so walk away.

This is a free event in Poole.

Weymouth Community Guy Fawkes Bonfire And Fireworks

Date: 5th November 2025

A free annual Big Guy Fawkes Event on Weymouth Seafront. Beginning at 4pm with the family funfair on the Pavilion Forecourt. There’s also some traditional stalls and attractions. 

The giant beach bonfire is lit at 7.40 pm, followed by the fantastic fireworks display in Weymouth Bay at 8.00 pm.

Swan Inn Bonfire Night Bonanza

Date: 2023 TBC

Gates open from 6pm on Saturday 5th November in Abbotsbury village car park and at the Swan Inn. There will be a barbecue and stalls to keep you entertained. The firework display begins at 7pm.

Dorchester Rugby Club Fireworks

Coburg Rd, Dorchester DT1 2HX

Date: 5th November 2023

The gates will open at 6pm with the fireworks display happening at 8pm in Dorchester at the Rugby Club. There will also be food concessions and entertainment.

Bridport Grand Firework Display

Date: 4th November 2023

Bridport Rugby Club are bringing back the Grand fireworks display to the club house. The event starts at 6pm with the fireworks display at 8pm.

Sherborne Castle Fireworks

DT9 5NR

Date: 4th November 2023

Gates open at 4.30pm, with a laser show at 7pm and fireworks at 7.30pm. There will also be a fun fair, hot and cold food and drink and a bar available.

The 25 minute full on pyro-musical show is choreographed and synchronised to a unique sound track. Known to be one of the biggest firework displays in Dorset.
