the two main water parks in Dorset are some of the best and popular in the country. Choose from the indoor Splashdown water park in Poole, or the outside Adventure water park in Corfe.

Splashdown Water Park

There are 13 slides at Splashdown water park to enjoy, with varying levels of adventure and difficulty. There’s something for all the family whether you’re an adrenaline junkie or perhaps enjoy smaller slides.

The Under 5’s aren’t left out either with 3 splash zones just for them. For the less adventurous, try the Buccaneer Beach and Sun Terraces. They are the perfect place to relax in the sunshine before heading to Captain’s Cove to dip your toes in the water on the bubble bench and chill in the Jacuzzi.

The Screamer is a high speed water ride. Go through 40 metres of slide in under 5 seconds. This is a high-speed water ride that is not for the faint-hearted! Infinity has funky laser lights dance to the music as you slide around the bowl before plunging into the pool below.

Dorset Adventure Park

Arfleet Mill Lakes, Studland Road, Corfe Castle, BH20 5JG

Located near Corfe Castle, this outside adventure park features an outdoor Wibit Water Park and a fun challenging Mud Trail. You’ll also find a multi obstacle assault course suitable for both adults and children.

The Totally Wipeout is a floating Total Wipeout style course with over 200m of inflatable obstacles across two lakes. Jump on a flip bag to propel yourself and others into the water.

There is free parking on site and changing rooms. Refreshments are available including ice cream and hot food and drinks available from the Snack Shack.

Splash Parks In Dorset

In various playgrounds and green spaces across Dorset, there are open air paddling pools located in the parks. Generally open during the peak Summer months between May and September, these are one of the great things to do in Summer in Dorset.

Open seasonally throughout the year, the splash park at Christchurch Quay is great fun for families visiting the area. The splash park has a shallow paddling pool and water play fountains to keep little ones cool through the Summer months.

Refreshments and facilities at Christchurch Quay include public toilets and an ice cream van. There is also plenty of green space to relax and watch the boats on the water.

There is plenty of parking close by in Christchurch.


Hamworthy Park

Hamworthy Park is located at Poole Harbour. The splash park is open through the Summer months, boasting a paddling pool, lots of green space and a large playground. 

Parking is available next to the park, however it does fill up quickly in the nicer weather. There is also a cafe nearby to refuel, with water stations to keep you hydrated.

The park at Redhill is located next to the common, and a great place for the family to stay and play for a while.The large open paddling pool is a popular place to sit and relax for a while through nice days.

The play area boasts a large zip wire, skate park, toilets and a cafe.

The summer splash fountain at Upton Country Park is open during the peak Summer months. The perfect way to cool down when visiting the country park. Don’t forget to pack a change of clothes!
