May half term in Dorset 2026 runs from Monday 25th May – Sunday 31st May. Traditionally the late May bank holiday falls within the half term. There are some great May half term activities in Dorset happening for children and families across the county.

Lulworth Castle May Half Term

Visit Lulworth Castle during May Half Term and enjoy animal and critter themed hunts and activities. The team from Mad 4 Animals will also be in attendance.
May Half Term At Corfe Castle
Dates: 23rd – 31st May 2026
May half term at Corfe Castle – stories and seedlings. Plant your own nasturtium seeds in an eco pot and take home a little bit of history. Join the Keeper of the Castle on a lively, interactive storytelling tour that brings the past to life, revealing how kings, nobles and everyday visitors were received.
The new Famous Five and the Forgotten Treasure interactive quest also starts during May half term at Corfe Castle for the Summer months.
Russell-Cotes Museum May Half Term
Dates: 23rd – 31st May 2026
The May half term events at Russell-Cotes Art Gallery and Museum in Bournemouth will take on a nature theme in 2026. There will be garden trails and workshops happening across the week.
